Hosting Account full backups

Vlexo provides backups as a failover, this is to ensure if you yourself or we on our part accidentally delete your website, you will still have a backup of your site even though you/us have deleted it. We understand the importance of having your site up, let alone losing data, thus why we make backups for our free customers.

How are backups made?

Backups are made through root WHM, using the backup function; to remote server. These backups are full backups, meaning they contain all the information and data that you previously had if a scenario occurred and your account was deleted and your data lost.

Backups are transferred via FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

They’re transferred to our private server (VPS), where they’re safely stored, and where they cannot be touched by the public. They can only be seen by Vlexo Staff; as we will restore these backups upon request. The backups are done via FTP, where your files/data are transferred from one server to the other over the internet. This is safe as these connections transferring your files over have proper password/username encrypted in MD5 hash.

We provide the ability to give your business the satisfaction of all it's data being safe. However though we do make backups, we always urge you to make your own backups if you value your data. Backups are made, yes, however it's always safer to keep an extra copy of your own backup on your harddrive. We notice that in the premium world, things can honestly go wrong.

Do I have to pay for my backups?

Depending on the situation, we will most likely give backups free of charge. However when situations arise when people request backups over and over, then you will have to start paying as it's wasting our time as well as the many other things we could be doing.
